Leisure Time

No matter what time of year – Zweibrücken has more to offer than it might seem at first glance. Whether you’re interested in mini-golf, paddle boating, go karts and open-air swimming pools in the summer or indoor rock climbing, ice skating and water park paradise in winter – recreational athletes are free to enjoy.

Garden lovers can indulge themselves just as much as golfers and culture goers.

Experience it for yourself and discover a region in the heart of Europe

Discover natural beauty and learn about the area by visiting regional points of interest. The border to the Northern Vosges Regional Natural Park in Alsace, France, Luxembourg or the Moselle river valley can be reached quickly.

Experience much. Walking and Cycling throughout soft, green hills and ridges of the Bliesgau, or voyage into the depths of the Palatinate Forest. Go climbing for a burst of adrenaline or relax while enjoying the sunset. Within a radius of 50 km, you can swing into 10 different golf courses.

Riders have the choice: classic English horse riding at a stud farm or relaxing in a western saddle whilst enjoying the scenic view. In this stud farm in 1755, Christian IV began breeding the Zweibrücker, an eventing horse which was used by Frederick the Great to establish his stud farm in Trakehnen.

In Zweibrücken, you can make a stroll on the picturesque alley passing by the Rennwiese, “racing meadows”, and stud farm and horse stables along the way – always a nice atmosphere, and horse riders, walkers and joggers belong to the cityscape as well.

Education has a long tradition in Zweibrücken. In the Bibliotheka Bipontina (Library Bipontina) you can admire books originating from five different centuries – thanks to the Dukes of Zweibrücken.

Visit one of the gardens of the region, take on sporting activities without overexertion, explore the surroundings or enjoy bargains when shopping in the Style Outlets Zweibrücken – again and again as you wish! We look forward to welcoming you.
